Kids Summer Art Camp

Don't wait to sign up your young artist(s) for the Burke Arts Summer Art Camp!

We have a fun schedule featuring ukuleles, glass exploration, and cooking, all presented by amazing instructors!

Classes will fill up fast, so sign up today.

The BAC’s Summer Art Camps:  Monday – Thursday, 9AM – Noon.  July 8 – August 1. (Campers must register for the whole week, MondayThursday).

  •  Campers will meet at the Burke Arts Council, located at 506 S. Sterling Street, in downtown Morganton.

  • This program is for kids 7–11 years of age, with the exception of Exploring the Arts! which is suitable for kids 6–11.

Cost:  

  • Four classes, Monday–Thursday

  • $90 per week for BAC Members

  • $100 for Non-Members

  • Siblings will receive a 10% discount after the first child (please call to arrange)

  • Scholarships are available. (please call to arrange)


What to Bring/What to Wear:

  • Campers should wear clothes (and shoes) they are comfortable getting dirty.

  • A snack will be provided but campers are welcome to bring their own snack.

Our line up of summer camps this year will both engage & expand your child’s creativity!

  • Getting Creative with Glass

    (July 8–11)
    In this wonderful class, your child will have the opportunity to work with a material they might not have ever worked with before—glass! From fused glass to mosaics and more.

  • Cooking with Lara Hicks

    (July 15–18)
    Your child will embark on a week long culinary adventure learning skills they can use in the kitchen and beyond, all while whipping up something delicious!

  • Disney on the Ukulele!

    (July 22–25)
    Brittny Charity is back this year, bringing her musical talents and enthusiasm to share and teach her love of the ukulele! There will be songs and stories and so much more!

  • Exploring Art - Sold Out

    (July 29–August 1)
    From pencils to paper and paint and so much more…your child will learn about and create with a variety of mediums and end up with a various array of art to curate a mini art gallery at home!
