First Frost 2024

CALL FOR ARTISTS – THE BURKE ARTS COUNCIL’S
ANNUAL FIRST FROST ART SHOW AND SALE 

The Burke Arts Council announces a call for artists to submit original artworks to the First Frost Art Show and Sale Exhibition to take place November 15 through December 23, 2024.  Historically, this is one of our most well attended exhibitions.   

First Frost is an opportunity for you to exhibit and sell your work.  So set your sights on holiday shoppers as we transform our gallery into a festive setting, featuring a unique variety of fine artwork from artists and craftsmen from across our region. 

First Frost promises to be one of the best holiday events of the season and will begin with an opening reception on Friday, November 15. 

All media will be featured, including painting, printmaking, ceramics, sculpture, jewelry, glass, fiber, digital, photography, and mixed media.  If tree ornaments are your thing, we'll have trees to display them on, but your artwork does not have to be holiday-themed.  This is a show and sale exhibit, meaning artwork will be removed as it sells.  Artists are encouraged to replace sold items.  The Burke Arts Council retains a 30% commission on all sold artwork. 

Please submit (form below) a sampling of your work (jpg preferred) by October 30 at 5PM.  You will receive artist agreement and inventory sheet by Wednesday, October 31

NOTABLE DATES AND TIMES:
October 30, 5PM:   Deadline for submissions
Drop off dates:  November 7, 8, 11.  10AM – 4PM
Opening Reception:  Friday, November  15 from 4 until 7PM
Exhibition Closes:  Monday, December 23 at Noon
First Frost Gallery Hours: Tuesday – Friday: 10– 4. Saturdays 11 – 3.
