Summer Strings

  • Burke Arts Council 506 South Sterling Street Morganton, NC, 28655 United States (map)

The Carolina Primrose Quartet was such a hit at their first performance (Spring Strings) at the BAC, that they’re back once more for Summer Strings! Playing a selection of pop, classical, and original pieces. The quartet is comprised of four accomplished musicians who forged their friendship while serving as members of The Blue Ridge Orchestra in Asheville, NC. Originating from a shared passion for chamber and small-ensemble string compositions, the quartet has diversified its repertoire to encompass both classical masterpieces and contemporary renditions of popular works, including a selection of original compositions.

Marking their inaugural performance in 2023 at the esteemed Diana Wortham Theater in Asheville, the quartet contributed to the Asheville Amadeus Festival in collaboration with The Blue Ridge Orchestra. Building on this success, the ensemble is actively securing engagements for their 2024 concert season, demonstrating a commitment to delivering exceptional musical experiences.

Reception at 5:30.  Concert begins at 6. Join us for an Ice Cream Social afterwards on the back porch!
