Between Stations: An exhibit featuring the work of Helen Tueffel

Join us Saturday, March 29 at 11 AM for Brunch/Artist Talk as Helen takes us between stations.

The event is co-hosted by “Waiting for the Train”, a group of citizens working to bring passenger rail back to western North Carolina. It’s free and open to the public.  Donations will be greatly appreciated.

Come enjoy a journey by train with artist, Helen Tueffel as she takes us “Between Stations”.

In October of 2020, Helen and her daughter traveled aboard Amtrak’s Carolinian train from Salisbury, NC to Washington, D.C.   The trip, at the height of Covid-19, social distancing, and escalated travel precautions, was a bright spot in a dark time.  “Between the Stations” lets you see some of the things that they saw on that journey, and her interpretations of what they saw.
