I was born in Philadelphia, PA, graduated from Drexel University with a BA in Early Childhood Education, then married and moved to central NY near Syracuse. We bought and old farmhouse on 25 acres where we raised two amazing kids, marveled at the seasons, and cursed the excessive snow. Three years ago, we decided to head south to be closer to our 5 grandkids. We now call Morganton our home.
I have loved art since I was a child. I remember seeing my mom’s sketches of Philadelphia landmarks, and visiting the Philadelphia Museum of Art. I am self-taught, having started sketching after my daughter was born, and soon adding watercolors.
I enjoy sketching in pencil and ink, but especially love the freedom and movement of watercolors. I try to capture the simple beauty of a scene, and hope people not only see my art, but feel it.
