Betty Ann’s formal education is in Floriculture ~ the study of floral design and horticulture; for her it offers the best of both worlds ~ the blending of art with nature. She finds inspiration and peace in the gardens and woods that surround her home studio in Morganton.
With a spirit that needs to create, Betty Ann loves to experiment with different textures, materials and techniques. Re-using & re-purposing is one of her passions, and her work often includes vintage and reclaimed fabrics cut from clothing found at thrift stores.
Over the past 10 years she has participated in various shows; earning Honorable Mentions at two of the events. A lifelong learner she has studied under phenomenal Fiber Art teachers and is a member of SAFF – Southeastern Animal Fiber Fair and Local Cloth, Inc. in Asheville, NC.
