Art of Chocolate Call for Artists

CALLING ALL ARTISTS!  

Options is pleased to announce its annual fundraiser the Art of Chocolate.  The event will be held on May 3, 2019 at 7pm at the historic Armory located at 306 W. McDowell St., Morganton.  This is the twelfth year of the event. Funds raised from the sale of your art directly support women and children affected by domestic violence in Burke County.  In the past twelve years, local artists and crafts people have generously supported the Art of Chocolate with donations of their creations, and we hope that you will consider donating this year.

Options seeks paintings, pottery, textiles, jewelry, sculptures, furniture, and photography to be sold in the silent or live auction.   

All art accepted by the Art of Chocolate will be on display from April 18^th to May 1^stat the Burke Arts Council-Jailhouse Gallery.  Burke Arts Council will also host a reception for the artists on Thursday, April 18^th from 5-7pm at the Jailhouse Gallery. 

We are excited to offer two cash prizes of $100 for “Viewer’s Choice.”  The winners will be selected by popular vote while the art is showcased at the Jailhouse Gallery. The winners will be announced at the AOC.  All artists whose art has been accepted by AOC will receive two complimentary tickets to the event (valued at $100).
