Junior Appalachian Musicians
The Morganton JAM (Junior Appalachian Musicians) is a program for children (grades 4 – 8) in Burke County that offers a wide variety of classes including fiddle, 3-finger banjo, guitar, mandolin and upright bass. Sessions are held two afternoons per week after school at the City of Morganton Recreation Center. The program is coordinated by the City of Morganton Recreation Department with funding from the Traditional Arts Program for Students (TAPS) of the NC Arts Council.
