LANCE TURNER MURAL
Morganton is home to some incredibly talented artists. Lance Turner is certainly one of them and right now he is on location, creating a beautiful mural on the South Sterling Street side of the Burke Arts Council’s Jailhouse Gallery.

Lance Turner has exhibited in galleries and Museums throughout the United States, including the Los Angeles Center for Digital Art in Los Angeles, CA; National Ornamental Metals Museum in Memphis,TN; the Visual Arts Center in Punta Gorda, FL; The Southern Nevada Museum of Art in Las Vegas, NV; The Farmington Museum of Art in Farmington, NM; and the Woodruff Arts Center and the Museum of Contemporary Art in Atlanta, GA. His work is currently published in Artbuzz 2013, Studio Visit, and BlueCanvas. A recent solo show titled “Lance Turner: Process and Documentation” was included in the Memphis Flyer’s Best, as “one of the most wildly imaginative shows of the year”. Lance Turner was born in North Carolina. He graduated magna cum laude from Memphis College of Art with a BFA in Painting and Art History, and a MFA in Painting at Savannah College of Art and Design.
