My work was chosen for the 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2017 juried shows, “Bring Us Your Best,” sponsored by the Henderson County Arts Council. In 2014 several photos were in the Transylvania Arts Council’s “Wood, Wind and Water” show in Brevard and a one-person show at Grateful Steps bookstore in Asheville (“All Bark, No Bite”).

I was invited in Spring 2015 to display photos in a Tryon Sculptors & Painters gallery show.  I won both blue and red ribbons in the Henderson County Silver Arts competition in May 2015. In Fall 2015 I had two photographs in the 2015 Burke County Arts Council Juried Photography Exhibit; one won second prize in the “Reflections” category. Three of my photos were part of the Fall 2015 Tryon Arts & Crafts School “100 Years of Craft” exhibition.

My photograph, “Tree Spirit,” won second prize in the Spring show 2016 at Tryon School of Arts and Crafts and at the same time my photograph of Pearson’s Falls was on display in the Transylvania Arts Council’s “Waterfalls” show in Brevard. I participated in the Tryon Sculptors & Painters members show in Summer 2016 and the Burke County annual photography show in August –September 2016.

In 2017 my work was juried into display at Carolina Village in Hendersonville, the “Lost Loves” show at Tryon School of Arts and Crafts and the Annual Burke County Arts Council Photography show.

My book, “These Trees,” was published by Rose River Press in June 2017. It is a collection of my tree photographs as well as 25 poems. The book is available at The Burke Arts Council Gallery.

I have had two shows of “Poemscapes” in collaboration with cellist-poet Carol Pearce Bjorlie whose poetry has been paired with my photographs for a multi-media experience of music, poetry, and videos. A third is scheduled for September 2017 at the Hendersonville library.

I was born in New Jersey and hold degrees in English, Economics and Law. I now live with my husband, Mark, and our two dogs in Hendersonville, NC where I am grateful to live surrounded by trees.
